The world’s largest radio telescope begins operating in testing phase

The world’s largest radio telescope, measuring 500 meters wide is complete and has got its first signals from space today.

It will take up to three years to calibrate the device so it can become fully functioning.

This is very exciting moments, said Prof Peng Bo. He further said that for many years, we have to go outside of China to make an observation but China has now world largest telescope.
